SUPPLY CHAIN ISSUES

While the country is experiencing supply chain issues, the school food service industry is being hit especially hard.  This department is receiving emails and phone calls daily regarding manufacturers holding production of needed items and distributors being shorted products despite the attempts to bring the products in.  We will do our best to keep the community updated on menu changes as best as we can. Please bear with us and possible menu substitutions that may be unavoidable due to pandemic conditions.

FREE MEALS CONTINUE FOR ALL STUDENTS FOR THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR

Breakfast and Lunch for all student s will be offered free of charge while USDA continues to provide funding under COVID relief.

If you usually receive free or reduced lunch benefits, please continue to fill out the free and reduced lunch applications to help with a smooth transition for the next school year.

SNACK AND A LA CARTE PRE-PAYMENT OPTIONS

The School Lunch Program would like to go "cashless" during this time as well. Pre-payment by cash or check to the school or through the payment center is greatly appreciated.  If a student pays cash at the register, change will go on the student's account for future use.

Keep track of your student's lunch money by creating a free account on www.k12paymentcenter.com.

Signing up for monitoring the account is free.  If you wish to place funds on the account directly with a credit or debit card, there is a $1.95 surcharge for a deposit of up to $100.00.

These meals are being provided by the West Babylon School Lunch Department.  Please call us if you have any questions, 631-376-7752.

Welcome to School Food Services!

Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand.

The Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

Do your kids beg to recreate their favorite school meals at home? Now you can!!!
